I see by what you have written that there is more involved mentally going on with you but you are not going to find an answer by snowing out your world with tranquilizers, sedatives, and pain pills. It is still there when you come off the excessive meds. The doctor is not going to authorize more meds early because you are deciding what is best for you to do. He has a responsibility to protect you from yourself. Either you are going to listen to his/her instructions and follow them or you will be miserable for the shortage caused by your own actions.

Addendum:

Pharmacists KNOW this stuff is abused. Because of that , we make sure these type of drugs go through a double count procedure. In my clinic, all controlled are counted at least twice and larger quantities are counted twice but by separate people and they must agree. Larger stores use automatic counting machines that both weigh the tablets AND count by photocell or ultrasound. Both must match. The weight of a single tablet is known to the counting system. It is sensitive enough to detect a broken tablet in the mix. Others use systems that do all the above while automatically filling the container and labeling it. It is extremely unlikely that there is ever a failure in this system or they would not be approved by the board of pharmacy for use in stores.
