Long story short, if you get shorted or take to many or start calling the doctor or worrying the people at the pharmacy your gonna lose out on Tramadol and Valium. I get 120 Tramadol a month and force myself to take 2 a day whenever I can. I have stockpiled two big bottles full and I will not run out for months if I ever get cut off. As for benzos I do the same. Whatever happened or if it happened doctors or pharmacists are gonna put the red flag on you if you start having prescription "problems". Ration out your Trams until your next refill,in other words take the amount of days and split the pills out evenly until you can refill. They are addictive and are controlled in Arkansas and a few other states. Here is the DEA's opinion.

By the way the pharmacist who posted an answer was correct in a lot of ways...

Oh wow dude, i just answered your shorter version and i have to agree with the pharmacist. With all the other drugs you are taking & have & you are worried about running out of your tramadols?Dude i think you need to stop abusing your meds.Your doctor must know what you are doing and yup he won't give you anymore sooner.I think you may need some help. You are on some pretty Strong stuff with everything you are taking. It's only going to get worse if you don't admit you may have a drug problem.I am in no way comdeming you so please don't be offended i am just telling you this because i also use to take alot of meds like you do and i abused them pretty bad. Then i finally admitted i was a drug addict and i went to treatment and got off everything.Yeah,it was rough, but it was the best thing i ever did.I was abusing pills for 18 years. It's going on 2 years now that i have been clean & off them.It is great to be able to wake up everyday and not to need pills to get me through my days.I do have my bad days to where gosh,i wish for a pill so bad.But i just remember how horrible i felt when i was coming off them.I also go to n/a meetings & that helps alot.Well good luck to you.
References :
According to you, you were shorted 8 tablets (which I doubt really happened) but even if it did, you took an additional 7 days of medication on top of your prescribed dose for a 3 week supply that now lasts only 12 days. Tramadol is not a controlled prescription but it may soon become one due to abuse we have seen by people. In excessive doses, it can be and is often abused. You need to look in the mirror and take responsibility for your own dilemma here.

I see by what you have written that there is more involved mentally going on with you but you are not going to find an answer by snowing out your world with tranquilizers, sedatives, and pain pills. It is still there when you come off the excessive meds. The doctor is not going to authorize more meds early because you are deciding what is best for you to do. He has a responsibility to protect you from yourself. Either you are going to listen to his/her instructions and follow them or you will be miserable for the shortage caused by your own actions.

Addendum:

Pharmacists KNOW this stuff is abused. Because of that , we make sure these type of drugs go through a double count procedure. In my clinic, all controlled are counted at least twice and larger quantities are counted twice but by separate people and they must agree. Larger stores use automatic counting machines that both weigh the tablets AND count by photocell or ultrasound. Both must match. The weight of a single tablet is known to the counting system. It is sensitive enough to detect a broken tablet in the mix. Others use systems that do all the above while automatically filling the container and labeling it. It is extremely unlikely that there is ever a failure in this system or they would not be approved by the board of pharmacy for use in stores.
References :
Clinical Pharmacist.
