oxycontin is …
oxycontin is oxycodone extended release and mscontin is morphine extended release. Morphine is usually standard and is directly from the opium poppy plant & oxycodone is semi-synethic (man-made), Oxycodone is prescribed to ppl who can’t tolerate morphine and has same potentcy. Cymbalta & opiates can be prescribed together but please use with caution.

RIP to Michael …
RIP to Michael Jackson – to be blunt however, he is in a way, the ultimate challenge for a psychiatrist to try and analyze/treat. Opiates were not his only reason for the psychiatric distress. His lack of a childhood, his father beating/mocking him, and being arguably one of the most famous people alive. Also..would you not agree some sort of body dysmorphic (sp) disorder?
Q: Tramadol? it has SNRI, and SSRI properties, and has been highly effective in depression for some, what do you think?

My Grandma was 77 …
My Grandma was 77 Yrs old taking Chantix and 1mg of Lorazapam 2x a day. She had Osteo. While in the Hosp she fell and broke her hip. Wasw given Dilaudid. Immediately went into Resp arrest. Benadryl reversed it this time but not doccumented properly it led to 2 more times of this drug being given. The last time I believe finally killed her. this was after surgery. She was in a Comma and later died. Could it be the Meds??

I remember taking …
I remember taking oxy codone during school once. I was doing cpr on dummies and throwing up in it’s mouth. Later in the day I was falling asleep during english class and falling asleep and waking up gasping for air. Then coming off later in the day was more puking, terrible headaches.
Thankfully the drugs themselves can teach you a lesson about not doing them.
I like how you’re anti opiate and anti stimulant. These drugs are not to be fooled with.

the most recent …
the most recent under appreciated dangerous mixture is
atypical antipsychotics of the pine type:
olanzapine, quetiapine
and any other downers like
alprazolam, zolpidem, clonazepam, methadone, any opioids and narcotics ( oxycontin, morphine)
I have published recent articles on overdose with this mixture that has not yet become mainstream knowledge in the psychiatric community of course
