why aren’t medical Dr’s held accountable for drug addiction..if they have been supplying them for years
if you are put on narcotics for pain and three mos later they do m r i and can not find anything so every month you go back to get your perription and after awhile they up the dose… 2 years later a new dr a back specialist sees on reg x-ray and naked eye a fractured tailbone… sends you to pain dr i was on 380 10mg percocet…380 10mg methadone for over 2 years i was on narcotics…now addicted i am in pain daily and when i mentioned this to drs..they sent me to methadone clinic…
also after i told them i get sick if i didnt take the pills they said i was an addict and cut me off..they also noted the local emerency rooms of my addiction..so now they give me ultram non narcotic but it helps get rid of the sickness// oh by the way non narcotic Ultram 20 pills almost $40.00…20 percocet 10 mg $16.00 why would that be ..and they wonder why their are addicts/dealers
The doctors feed us these pills and we need them for pain and when they think it should be cured the pain, they take the pills away from us then the withdrawls come in,,,these dr.s should wean us off slowly, so as to get through the withdrawls,,,some ppl really need these pill, where as other don’t and the dr, still give them,,,can’t figure it out,,I need them for pain and they think I’am lieing,,,well x-rays prove problem and I have to beg her to give me pain relievers,,why should I have to suffer,,just cause they think the injury should be healed,,some take longer then otherslll…..They sent you to a methadone clinic to wean you off the opiates,,,this will help with the pain and lessen the withdrawls from not haveing your script….trust me I have been there and the sleepless nights and the pain of not having the pain killers is terrible,,is hard to quit these pills me have been trying for over a year now and still don’t have a grip on it yet…I wish you well,,Once the methadone is in your system,,,then they have to wean you off that,,either way it’s a long road..

I’m not sure why they are not responsible, i wish they were. doctors have been prescribing my mother several narcotic pain meds for 4 years and she is highly addicted. docs have seen that as well. who is to blame here? it isn’t like she just went out on a limb and began taking narcotics. she is a heart patient and there isn’t anything they can do except pain management. when she ends up in the hospital and demands the meds. docs qst about the addiction. they started it and continue it. so who is at fault? certainly not the patient

Its insane how easily doctors prescribe highly adictive drugs to people. My sister nicked her finger deep enough to have cut a vein and needed it stiched. You know what they prescribed her for the pain? Oxycodone…….luckily she couldn’t obtain it after her finger healed, but she built an addiction and really wanted more of it.

There are so many druggies out there, its hard to tell who really needs medication and who is abusing it.
Methadone is a good medication to be prescribed when your pain is chronic. I am not sure what the 380 number is alongside your percocet 10, so feel free to enlighten us
