Modern Feminists, can you help me understand the history of how Methadone aka Dolophine was developed…?

Besides having been a highly efficacious agent in the treatment of heroin withdrawal, methadone’s long half-life makes it a very useful narcotic for the treatment of chronic pain (many pain managment experts find it equieffective to Oxycontin.

If you can help me with the the history of Dolophine’s development, I would greatly appreciate if you can explain why we shouldn’t do experiments on unborn children if they are sub-human?

Lastly, since the Nazis felt that Jews were subhuman, what’s to ensure that modern Feminists don’t find men subhuman as well? What sort of experiments would you perform on men prior to eradicating us since your doctrine clearly regards men as subhuman (not unlike a Sprague-Dawley rat)?

*Please note that waiting for evidence of genocide isn’t a prudent thing to do. When one smells smoke, it’s best to assume there’s a fire.
Rainbows: Methadone used to be the standard for heroin withdrawal until the inception of the benzons. With benzos, the cocktail is essentially as euphoric as heroin, so it’s just hard to get off methadone. These days, suboxone is pretty much the standard for heroin detox. Methadone when used in a pill preparation is a terribly potent, long acting analgesic, just as good as OC. I know this from clinical expertise and personal tragedies in my own life. When DEA was scrutinizing every script for OC, most pain management specialists were perfectly comfortable wirting for equianalgesis quantities of Methadone solid and that patients did extraordinarily well. Probably the most potent analgesic we have that’s Sched II is Fentanyl, and in 72h transdermal release, it’s about as potent as it gets but is contraindicated in the post operative setting. It’s ideal in patients with chronic, intractable pain, e.g. carcinoma.

The question still remains, how was Doliphine researched and on whom

I heard the withdrawls from methadone are pretty bad too. Also this drug will be used on adult so wouldnt make more sense to test it on adults?

Drugs are nasty. I have no idea what you just said. Or why. But drugs kill brain cells. And you knew that right.

Please don’t spoil what appears to be perfection within you. Let me be in aww from a distance Pretty please…

OK well maybe not perfect but still I say there is a really pretty heart inside your soul ….. Enough filling your head so full it wont fit out the door.

Have a beautiful day kind one………

    1) Unborn children are just that – unborn. Still in the womb. Someone’s womb. A woman’s womb. To experiment on an unborn baby means experimenting on the mother.
    2) That foetus is to become a living baby. Why risk harming it? We give the foetus anaesthetics now to ensure that abortion is pain-free.
    3) Sorry – can’t help you with the study on methadone/dolophine. Suffice to say that many of the addicts I see are highly dependent on the stuff.
    4) What evidence have you got that any feminist plans to eradicate men? What a bizarre thought. There is no smoke to smell. You’re talking nonsense.
    5) Most feminists are, or will be, the wives, lovers, daughters, mothers of men. It’s safe to assume that women are pretty fond of their menfolk.

My Pharm is rusty, but I believe it was developed by German scientists during World War II, due to the need for opioid analgesics with little potential for dependency.

I agree that Methadone is useful for heroin withdrawal, but it sucks as an analgesic. I dislike seeing that or Demerol being used as an analgesic in clinicals when Morphine is the prototype and rightfully so.

And Methadone is not nearly as effective as OxyContin, as a cancer survivor I can attest that OxyContin is god-send, but it will likely get yanked due to thugs and its street value :[

Interesting. I’m under the impression that Methadone *isn’t* the preferred narcotic for pain relief — and Western pain management specialists are finding more and more that Suboxone has far more superior benefits to Methadone. This is being concluded not only by pain management specialists, but also medical health practitioners, such as GPs for the purpose of detoxification from heroin addiction.

Methadone was first synthesised in the latter part of the 1930′s, in Frankfurt, Germany. Methadone was developed as synthetic opiate that was intended to replace Morphine. It was the result of extended research which can be traced to the 1880′s, when scientists first initiated research into synthetic antipyretics and analgetics. .While the earlier preparations (e.g. Antipyrin and Pyramidon) provided analgesic effects, they did not provide spasmolytic properties. Finally in 1937, chemists were able to provide a preparation that achieved all of the components, resulting in the development of Pethidine.

During the course of their studies, Chemists found a means to produce a *synthetic* form of the opiate pethidine, and in 1947 methadone was born.

RE: "What sort of experiments would you perform on men prior to eradicating us since your doctrine clearly regards men as subhuman"

None. I recommend healthy lifestyle practices which do not include the self-medication or recreational use of drugs such as heroine. Cessation of this, will mark a profound effect on paranoia, and the user will find that conspiracy theories are unfounded.

Forgive me if I misunderstood the basis of this question.
