ive ed around too much recently, relapsed back to heroin when my nanny died, and then swapped to methadone thinking that thats not what im addicted too, long story short, not a great idea, but i stopped taking it and used heroin again for a week or so maybe longer, and then instead of 30mg a day i took 10mg for 4 days, now im taking nothing feeling chilles and stomach problems, also with my legs, but im feeling way better then withdrawing a few weeks ago, just need to find some benzos

Ive been on 110mg, for the last 4 years. Im totally afraid to get off this stuff. I also use it for pain medication. I was a 25 year heroin addict, since 16. Of course, there was many years spent in prison. I feel stuck. I was going to the program 2x a month. Then I got wacked with a random breathalizer at 6am! It registered a .04. They gave me half my dose, and took my bottles away! Now I attend daily, with all those that still use, sell their Sunday, the whole 9 yards.

Taper is key factor …
Taper is key factor to a success quit without sever withdrawl symptoms,I was on methadone and benzo for a year just to get high and I did a cold turkey quit and it wasnt as bad as i thought but then i got on again down the road and tapered off and i didnt have withdrawls except for cravings,The benzo withdrawals to me was by far the hardest drug to get off,It took 6 months to taper that junk.

For some people …
For some people it’s better to stay on methadone treatment for the rest of their life! That’s what i realize about myself! I’ve try to stop methedone at least 4 times and each time i did go back to my drug addiction! So i decided to take it forever and thats what my doctor think too!

I’ve been on …
I’ve been on methadone ( only methadone, no xanax, no cocaine, no alcohol) for 14 years. IMO, it is a LIFESAVER. In the last 14 years, I’ve watched EVERY person in my circle of ‘old friends’ die….including my own sister. None of these people ever got on methadone. Each one died of drug O.D. or drug related issue. I, on the other hand, own my own home, have a very good career, and am in pretty good health for my age.

The overdose rate …
The overdose rate here has dropped a lot because they stopped making the 40mg available because they young kids would think I can take one pill whats one pill going to do.I have been on it for 10yrs I am a chronic pain disabled adult.Its the people that sell this that we need to focus on methadone has helped millions,and hurt millions they just need to be much more careful who gets it,and how much.I could go on forever but I do agree with you,and stand behind you.Thanks Jamie

hi, im from dublin ireland, on 100mgs, suffer w pain from cfs(dxed) & fibro-(not fully dxed)- i wanna get off the clinic as i do have a history of opiate (h) addiction. I want to be on proper pain meds for my condition- i get a lot of stigma, and am clean from all other street drugs. on it 5 yrs now almost. Thank you for your vids, i an not interested in h anymore- i’ve ‘aged out- been round the block since i was 17. Good luck. going to try 5ml a week @ first-pain drs dont want me atm.THANKS 5*

if you stay off drugs eventually pain WILL go away, if you relapse you can never go to place where you was, everything becomes much more worst, so if now is hard if you go back, you’re in for . first step cut of all the ties, step two never look back, step three motivate your self trough real friends,music and whatever makes you tick. jij mag nooit afgeven, i’ll think of you ,i’ll pray for you

hi dubconor sorry i didn’t react earlier but i’ve just seen it your message. it is difficult because i don’t know your background, however i suppose you’re ed up on some dope. what turned it around for me was wish to turn all my destructivenesses into something positive. i cutted off all the ties and never looked back.i’m 44 so imagine how hard is to start all over when you are almost done. i’m on 1mg and hurts like . send e-mail i was 500 words over the limit i need more space
