“hmm read it as you …
“hmm read it as you speak it” I cant explain why it was written that way. Dont know that is the slight that you are implying, but if it helps your case go ahead. As for Asiatic Culture, mmm, well a blanket a bowl and a stick dont really get me all hot and bothered. Sorry couldnt resist not being too serious. I watched your videos, there are many good ideas. As for education, I paid attention to some things more than others, true enough. History teaches me your not Native, Google penon woman.

  2. MyTherapyBeThis Says:

    Idiot! Read it as …
Idiot! Read it as you speak it doesn’t change a thing. How stupid are you?

Have you no sense man! You ignore what you can’t explain and find that an obscure point of a persons accent is somehow what makes a difference in appearences. Clearly you are not a well educated person and are not interested in expanding your knowledge of native north american culture.

I encourage you to keep commenting as you are proof of the stupid that one may find in the rooms. Thank you for your support.

  3. Amuck14 Says:

    Thank You~
    Thank You~

  4. Amuck14 Says:

    Like I said, I …
Like I said, I spoke with one man for an hour or so. I dont know if it were regional or whatever. Of course it was not the exxagerated accent you put on.

  5. MyTherapyBeThis Says:

    You are telling an …
You are telling an aboriginal person this is a accurate portrayal of his ancestors manner of speech. lol

Please keep commenting on this subject because there could be no more clear evidence of ignorance in the ranks of the 12 steps. My god man have you no shame.

Keep coming back. Really. I mean it. lol

  6. MyTherapyBeThis Says:

    Dude. Spanish?!?! …
Dude. Spanish?!?! Many moons? You are absolutely an idiot if you have not investigated the veracity of my statement. The only thing you have to say is that this story is crude but somehow it got in the Big Book(Join The Tribe) and in the Grapevine without anybody questioning the authorship?

Spanish? Orly. lol not only are you a liar but you are a fool. Tons of natives? Orly. Ask any of them if any Native speaks this way.

  7. Amuck14 Says:

    No friend I mnot …
No friend I mnot lying, he is from new Mexico. It could be the spanish that he speaks as well that is the cause, dont know. Now I give you that that is a crude thing you read. But Im not for a second going to belive that the central office said hey, lets make him sound hollywood. There tons of what you call native Americans in AA.

  8. MyTherapyBeThis Says:

    Keep coming back.
    Keep coming back.

  9. MyTherapyBeThis Says:

    Dude I am a native …
Dude I am a native american(Metis) I work everyday with native people. Check the Smithonian archives for recordings of aboriginal natives. Look up linguistics and native speakers.

You are a flat out liar if you say you “know” someone who speaks this way. They NEVER have. It is hollywood speak. If you knew AA history and read AA’s explanation of this story you would know it was fabricated to appeal to natives. The morons who put the story together thought like you do. Investigate dude.

  10. Amuck14 Says:

    Ok, maybe I have …
Ok, maybe I have not seen it all? I will take that position for thesake of argument. BUT FOR SURE, one thing is true. Up until this very moment, I have never, EVER heard of ANYONE trying to convert ANYONE in to ANY religeon, ZERO. I mean if anyone religeon takes a beating in AA its christianity. People always roll there eyes when someone says Jesus in their share. So this little piece of the Orange Papers is symbolic of all of the Orange papers, its just crap~

  11. Amuck14 Says:

    From the Orange …
From the Orange Papers – AA has an official party line that says you have complete freedom of religion, and you can belong to any religion you wish, or you can have no religion at all. But the truth is that A.A. members will make every effort to convert you to the official A.A. religious beliefs, which are basically the beliefs of Dr. Frank N. D. Buchman and his Oxford Group cult members, William G. Wilson and Dr. Robert Smith. And the Big Book, Alcoholics Anonymous, says so, very clearly.

  12. Amuck14 Says:

    Maybe that one did …
Maybe that one did speak and write that way. But to imply this is the way AA wanted to present what you call native americans is very uming and way off. Actually I have sat with an ” indian ” so to speak who does to this day speak with a bit of a similar accent though not so exxagerated. Well as for the Orange Papers, it likes like something I would have created in my first 3 years sober. Which means all my exposure to AA at that time I was just looking to build a case against it= dry drunk

  13. MyTherapyBeThis Says:

    Dude. The accent is …
Dude. The accent is what makes this story funny. The person who wrote this piece had it in their mind that American aboriginals speak this way. That is the joke. Never ever has a native person spoke this way. You don’t have to be a neuro-linguist to recognize this. Only hollywood indians speak that way.

The “Join The Tribe” story was removed because it was shameful.

As for the orange papers I fail to see what is out of context. I have onlyread a fraction of what is up there so lemme know.

  14. Amuck14 Says:

    Wow, well the way …
Wow, well the way you added the accent was the bigoted element. So they left it as was and you construe that as racist? And seriously, you seem educated, leave that hodge podge collage of bits and pieces Orange Papers out of any rational discussion of AA. I mean he has alot of information, but you take anything out of context and piece it together as he has. Its not a remarkable piece of work~

  15. tobytwirrll Says:

    It would be …
It would be interesting to know whether this story (which clearly embarrassed aa) was a complete fabrication or if it were ghost-written by a rather ignorant WASP who thought it appropriate to write it in “Tontoese”. My guess would be the latter, but it’s only a guess. Did you ever find out, MTBT?

  16. tobytwirrll Says:

    But you might know …
But you might know more about this issue than I do. And I might feel a lot more strongly about this if my skin was a different colour.

  17. tobytwirrll Says:

My take on it is …
My take on it is that no, aa is not an explicitly racist organisation, although there are certainly a fair number of the bigoted amongst its membership. Of course it is not unusual in that respect. But I do think it is very patronising in its implicit attitudes. This is shown in its attitude to agnostics, atheists and those of existing religious convictions even more than its unthinking insensitivity to ethnic identity.

  18. MyTherapyBeThis Says:

    Yes I saw those. I …
Yes I saw those. I am surprised that they didn’t write that native americans addressed Bill W as Kimosabe. :)

  19. tobytwirrll Says:

    And you do know …
And you do know that aas have been photographed in Lone Ranger masks, don’t you? I’ll dig out the picture later….

  20. tobytwirrll Says:

    I remember “Join …
I remember “Join the Tribe”. It was absolutely hysterical:

Red man walkum many moons on higher power warpath etc.etc…

Really convincing, reminded me of the UK kid’s cartoon “Li’l Plum”.

  21. MyTherapyBeThis Says:

    Word.
    Word.

  22. godlessweasel Says:

    Maybe my channel …
Maybe my channel has been snake-proofed :)

  23. godlessweasel Says:

    You ARE unblocked …
You ARE unblocked alice. I m disappointed to ‘realize’ that you go around ponting out typing errors when your litteracy is even worse but hey at least you’re not one of these muppets who sits on youtube with a dictionary looking for mistakes…

  24. 2pWORTH Says:

    phorph1

    Anyone …
    phorph1

Anyone with an ounce of sanity can see that agecooper is insane.Yet you fully support her insanity. You are fully on your way to be as insane as her.
    “a bunch of kids”
Yet all have years of not drinking without help from AA or your sane members. You on the other hand are scared of taking responsibilty for your own actions and need looking after like a baby in AA.Whos the kid?Is it respectful to your friends that you dont want to be a part of the society they live in?Shame on you.

  25. 2pWORTH Says:

    Phorph1
    1] So you …

    Phorph1
1] So you back agecooper and agree you dont want to be part of society too you also agree a non alcoholic has no right to an opinion.Dont you think that is an insult to the society you have abused and are claiming in AA to be making amends to?I do.
2] Basically you believe you,AA and its members are right and any one else is wrong .Including members of the society you want to be a part of?Why?
3] I am not an alcoholic why do I comment against AA “it keeps me sober?”
