Do you personally know someone who you think should start going to Alcoholics or Narcotics Anonymous meetings?

I personally do myself and my brother and sister in law also.

Yes, my Dad —he doesn;t think he has a problem with alcohol because he works everyday –but he definitely does!! I just pray that he will wake up and start going to AA.

Yes to both of your questions.I have two brothers that have had a problem saying no to the bottle since they were in their teens ,a habit that they like to say is a family tradition( from our Dad) My sister was addicted to prescription narcotics for 14 years. We buried her in February 1 year ago and they are still drinking.

    No.

I know many people who need to stop or cut down on their drinking (or drugging), but I wouldn’t want them going to AA or NA.

AA has a 5% success rate, the same as people attempting to quit on their own, and many who don’t succeed get worse. And AA has a mortality rate that is 4 times as high as no treatment at all.
