I hate to say it …
I hate to say it but there are many many people who actually believe Asa’s rhetoric,The slice that we have here ,, on youtube represents only a small segment of people .And sadly a lot of them .. us arent politically active .What that means is that we have to be louder , more active and work much harder if we are to actually make any sort of headway in this issue .

I would like to …
I would like to make mention of the guy at around 4:30, when he talked about the majority of the people being against legalizing marijuana.
Show me where in the Constitution a majority of people can deprive me of the property rights which may consist of owning marijuana? And also, as far as a purely democratic vote goes, that is a mob rule majority. why don’t we just abolish Congress and just have a purely democratic vote on everything? A purely democratic vote is not always the best vote.

“the fact is theres …
“the fact is theres really no popular movement in the united states to legalize marijuana”

Drug use is not bad …
Drug use is not bad or evil. People who use drugs are not bad or evil people. 98% of drug users are responsible hard working people who go to work pay their taxes, volunteer their time to local charitable organizations etc. In other words regular law abiding folks, except they are using a drug for what ever reason. Why are we locking people up, taking their children away, destroying lives. The answer is fear, greed and hate.

The LEAP guy didn’t …
The LEAP guy didn’t do too badly, but he could have done better. What’s unfortunate is he didn’t make the point that Drug problems are a public health problem, and should be treated as such.

It should be …
It should be legalized and regulated.
August 17th, 2009 at 4:09 pm
there are many …
there are many times when a truck load of marijuana was used as a decoy to a tractor and trailor load of meth or heroine that is a few truck lenghts behind them. if marijuana was legal, it would be harder to get the hard stuff into this Country. I say legalize it, tax it if you will, free up thousands of jail sells, save billions in dea funds, gather billions of tax dollars, help get us out of recession, and finally let the parents do their jobs.

does good ole Asa …
does good ole Asa realize people arent buying his load of BS anymore?
Guess what… no illegal drugs/no illegal drug cartels and untaxed profits from “businesses” that trade in these products.
Don’t want your kids using drugs? EDUCATE THEM about the REAL dangers of certain drugs but don’t LIE to them.
Marijuana has NEVER killed anyone due to overdose… there’s a good place to start!

Asa couldn’t patrol …
Asa couldn’t patrol a ing mall. Really? Is there any wonder why the War on Drugs doesn’t work? Besides it being stupid to begin with, you have an idiot like this running it.
Asa reminds me of every co-worker that talks a big game, but does jack .
Sorry, if the War on Drugs was real, then not one of these DEA heads should have kept their job, let alone every had a pension. This bad of work would never be tolerated in any other field of employment.
Drug Czar = Epic Fail

you cant reduce …
you cant reduce demand but you can make it less taboo and legalize it, Because it is illegal or forbidden fruit because of prohabition young people are more intriggued by its use, if we legalize marijuana teen use will drop because teens wont find taking grandma’s glaucoma medicine cool.
remember the first prohabition? you probabaly thinking alcohol, No IM talking Adam and Eve, It didnt work then and it aint working now!
If heroin is legal tomorrow IM not buying any are you? didnt think so.

I found it odd when …
I found it odd when he said “well.. they still have these OTHER drugs to sell”
Well, legalizing marijuana will drastically cut down their profits..
Sure they could still sell cocain, heroine, and meth, but this wouldn’t be nearly as profitable..
August 17th, 2009 at 4:09 pm
I’m not sure using …
I’m not sure using the cnn poll proves anything..
Besides that anti-war on drugs people (us) care more about the issue, enough to take the poll..
As the prohibitionists go “Muh whatever”
it would be interesting to see what prohibitionists have to say ONCE the majority of people agree with our side..even if it were just marijuana.

What’s halirious …
What’s halirious about these debates is that they are on exclusively marijuana legalization, and yet they somehow eventually end up relating it to heroin usage. LMAO …

The American …
The American government created the Black Market and the Drug Cartels by prohibition; it is your entire friggen fault!
And yet you continue to do the same things, over, and over, for decades, while expecting different results; that is insanity!
In order to kill a snake you have to cut off it’s head; end prohibition!

No one is buying …
No one is buying the right wing propaganda any longer.
Legalize it…now.

Never trust numbers …
Never trust numbers from Asa ‘Dirty Hutch’ Hutchinson (the wealthy white guy). He has a hidden agenda.
Does it surprise you that republican Asa Hutchinson’s personal bank account is enriched by his firm Venable LLP which receives Federal DHS funds (your tax dollars)?
Never mind his near cover-up by not disclosing his finances with Fortress American Holdings. He hates the ‘liberal media.’ I wonder why.
