I SWEAT ALOT!!! (help me, this is serious)?

Wednesday, January 20th, 2010

hey everyone i asked the question why do i sweat alot under my arms and starting to on my back before.. and i got this reply from a lady.

”You have excessive sweating.

Causes include
Alcohol
Caffeine
Cancer
Certain medicines, including thyroid hormone, morphine, drugs to reduce fevers, and medicines to treat mental disorders
Emotional or stressful situations (anxiety)
Exercise
Fever
Infection
Low blood sugar
Menopause
Overactive thyroid gland
Spicy foods (known as "gustatory sweating")
Warm temperatures
Withdrawal from alcohol or narcotic pain killers

You should see your doctor about this as it can become a serious matter.”

But the thing is i only drink alchohol once a month not even that, i dont drink cofee so theere is no caffene in my diet, i’m pretty sure i dont have cancer lol, i do have a mental disorder called anxiety and i take a tablet each morning for that but i had sweating even before i started taking tablets but i had anxiety before the sweating came, it not excersis because when im just sitting down the patches would come but when i excersise it becomes even bigger, i’m not sick at all like no fever of infection, i donno what these three mean
”Low blood sugar
Menopause
Overactive thyroid gland”
but i dont think i have them because then i would knowwhat they are, i dont eat spicy food only once in a blue moon, i am always warm temperatured though like i can never wear a jumper for to long and such but i have always had that and i only started to sweat like 6 months ago, and i havent withdrawed from alcohol or pain killers, and im skinny and pretty fit.

SO PLEASE I STILL HAVE NO ANSWERS TO WHATS WRONG WITH ME SO I CAN GET RID OF IT, PLEASE HELP ME THIS IS RUINING MY LIFE.

Well, anxiety can exacerbate it.
The term is hyperhidrosis and it is a recognised medical condition.
Primary hyperhidrosis is the condition characterized by abnormally increased perspiration, in excess of that required for regulation of body temperature. It is usually found to start during adolescence (or before)and there appears to be a genetic tendency towards the condition.
Primary hyperhidrosis must be distinguished from secondary hyperhidrosis, which can start at any point in life.

I think the other post gave you the sometime causes of secondary hyperhidrosis which usually has an underlying medical condition.
There is too much to copy and paste so look at the link and consider whether it is serious enough to speak to your doctor.

I will run out of my ultram/tramadol on the 18th, they were filled on the 27th…it also needs a doctors call?

Sunday, January 17th, 2010

it also needs a doctors call in before it’s filled. I took a few to many about two days before, and the day before that. I was only given 112 pills instead of the normal 120 pills. For some reason the doctor recommends I take 4 pills a day, but shorts my two days worth of pills. When can I call in my ultram/tramadol? I know there is usually a three day leeway with narcotics, but in my state ultram is considered non-narcotic. I know other states may have it classified as a narcotic, but it isn’t that way yet in my state.

Anyway like I said I am running out on the 18th, and that leave 9 days without my ultram/tramadol. Could I call and request my ultram/tramadol on that monday when I am going to be out? Do you think it will be filled that early? It usually takes a day or two after calling it in to get it filled at my pharmacy.

Someone please let me know. I have enough valium to last me right to the day when I need them refilled, on the 26th. I have enough dalmane to be refilled on the 25th. I’m not worried about these medications because I have one more prescription for them. But I am worried if my new psychiatrist will fill it after this last refill.

Back to the ultram/tramadol. Would it be unwise to call next monday the 18th for a refill of them? I take four 50 mg. ultram/tramadol a day. If I cut back and took only two a day I could have them last until the 22nd. But I don’t really want too. Should I just take two ultram/tramadol until the 22nd and the call, or should I take my nice dose of four and call them in on the 18th?

I need help here. I have plenty of nerotin, and I think I may have some extra firocet to keep me going. And I have plenty of valium which is 40 mg. a day. And 30 mg. of dalmane a day. And I have 30 mg. of flexril a day, and 30 mg. of remeron a day. So I don’t think I’ll suffer much from coming off of ultram/tramadol.

One more thing. I have culinary classes beginning tomorrow. And one class is and hour and 15 minutes twice a week that is a communications class. I was asked to leave a university when I had a public speaking class and I went to the university health clinic and got a xanax from them and sat their crying like a baby which is uncharacteristic of me. That made them call the cops on me for crying. They called my mom. The dean of students showed up and I screamed at him to kick me out of school. He said he wouldn’t but when I met with him a few days later he told me to withdrawal from classes and go to a technical college to finish my general education, even though I had 68 credit hours, and and overall GPA of 2.97. huuuu (sigh) I think this communication class is a little different than the public speaking class, and it’s all I need for a culinary arts degree. I think you get up with a group to make presentations, and my valium might help. I could get something else but I don’t want to buy stuff because it’s illegal and I want to keep within the law.

So any answers about the ultram/tramadol? Sorry for writing so much.

One more thing
No that’s enough, thanks for anyone that read this and have tried to help me.

Long story short, if you get shorted or take to many or start calling the doctor or worrying the people at the pharmacy your gonna lose out on Tramadol and Valium. I get 120 Tramadol a month and force myself to take 2 a day whenever I can. I have stockpiled two big bottles full and I will not run out for months if I ever get cut off. As for benzos I do the same. Whatever happened or if it happened doctors or pharmacists are gonna put the red flag on you if you start having prescription "problems". Ration out your Trams until your next refill,in other words take the amount of days and split the pills out evenly until you can refill. They are addictive and are controlled in Arkansas and a few other states. Here is the DEA’s opinion.

What causes heart rate and blood pressure drop?

Withdrawal, Marijuana, Narcotics, or Alcohol?
Umm you really didnt answer my question though which of those 5 is it?
Or is it depressants???? Someone help me pleaseee and fastt! Would really appreciate it! ):

It is narcotics. Narcotics will also produce pinpoint pupils. I am not sure why you are asking this. If you are concerned about yourself or someone else having low blood pressure or pulse, please take this person the ER. Marijuana can decrease blood pressure, but it usually is associated with an increase in heart rate. Alcohol may acutely lower blood pressure, but can lead to high blood pressure if used chronically. Alcohol does not really affect pulse. There is no withdrawal syndrome associated with decreased blood pressure or pulse.

withdrawal from suboxone?

Thursday, November 26th, 2009

Ive been taking 16 mg of suboxone for 2 years now after a 17 year addiction to pain killers. I know it has a remarkably long half life. I have to have surgery next month and need to be able to take the narcotics for a short while while in the hospital and at home. I chose relief from the disease of addiction rather than the pain of my rheumatoid arthritis and lupus. Here is my dilemma, i stopped taking it cold turkey exactly one week ago and have absolutely NO withdrawal symptoms. Any body know how long for it takes to get out of my system?

All the answers so far are dead wrong, as you will soon find out. I love how people give advice about a drug they have never taken or know nothing about.

suboxone has a half life of about 36 hours, and it also has a stacking effect. At 16 mg’s a day for 2 years, it will take over a week to clear your system.

This should give you some idea of how over medicated you have been, and when the w.d.’s do hit, I hope you have something for relief because they will be brutal and last a very very long time.

The good news is this is a great way to reduce your sub intake. you should be able to go back on 4 mg’s a day and have exactly the same relief you had before at 16 mg’s. Are you aware 1 mg of sub is equal to 50 mg’s of morphine?

If you are having surgery next month I’m not sure why you are trying to detox now, but i know many people who have jumped from lower doses of sub and not felt anything for a week or so. Be prepared because it is coming.

Is it ethical for a Dr. to stop prescribing narcotic medication to patients cold turkey ?

Sunday, November 15th, 2009

My Dr. has been prescribing me Fentanyl pain patches, a strong narcotic for a severe back condition. Apparently, he has been reprimanded by the DEA for miss using his license recently. His solution is to refuse to continue to prescribe the medications many of his patients are on including me. I am terrified that I will go into a horrible withdrawal ordeal. He can still write for this medication and I have a legitimate pain problem- that is backed up by tests and xrays- If he indeed cuts me off cold turkey what is my medical or legal recourse, if any?

Doctors face this situation daily. Your Dr. already is in some kind of a jam. Narcotics are scheduled drugs which means they are montored and there are many rules regarding prescribing them. There are so many people who are addicted or just like their narcs that they are always trying to get more. You seem to have a valid reason, so you may be better off if you can get your Dr. to refer you to a pain management group, also many alternative therapies are very effective and can provide dramatic decreases in your pain. Legally I don’t think you have any recourse, You could always complain to the state board but I seriously doubt that will help. If you like your Dr. sit down and discuss this just as you are doing now.

Drug Questions?

Friday, November 6th, 2009

I was doing my health homework and came to some questions I couldn’t find in the texbook after I looked for them like a billion times. Well, here are the questions-
-________violence is violence toward a family memeber
-a psychoactive gas inhaled to produce euphoria
-a confidential telephone service
-a legal narcotic given to drug addicts to block withdrawal symptons
-any use of an illegal drug or misuse of a legal drug
-reduced sensitivity to a drug

I will really appreciate it if you helped me.
Thanks.

Why aren’t there warnings on psychiatric psychotropics…?

Friday, October 30th, 2009

I’ve been diagnose as having a mood disorder since I was a teenager. At first I was diagnosed as major depressive and I have tried pretty much all of the major SSRIs as well as a tricyclic. I was properly re-diagnosed as type 2 bipolar a few years ago and put on lamictal and lithium as mood stabilizers.

I have had HORRIBLE withdrawal symptoms from every SSRI and mood stabilizer I have been placed on, yet there are no warnings given either by psychiatrists or on the bottle/info insert about the possible side effects of physcial withdrawal from these medications. I know other people who have been through the same thing. I’m currently getting off lamictal, and it is hell on earth.

So my question is why is this not an acknowledged issue? Narcotics are supposed to be highly addictive and awful to get off of, but I have taken narcotics for chronic pain for months at a time, every day and not had ANY physical symptoms of withdrawal,
Just to clarify, I have ALWAYS tapered off medications. Never stopped cold turkey. Actually my shrink told me it was cool to stop lamictal cold turkey, even though doing so can cause seizures among other problems. I’d be in the hospital if I didn’t have common sense of my own.

I’m waiting for some class action suits, personally. The withdrawals for some are brutal, and you’re right, there are no warnings.

I have been on Percoset for 1-1/2 years. I am stopping for about 3 weeks.?

Will I get withdrawal symptoms? What kind? I am stopping to try something else instead of narcotics, and, to be honest, so far the pain is incredible. I have a fractured spine, and have been given flexeril, naproxen and zanaflex (for at night) Help! I got my Dr. ok to try

Yes you will get withwrawl symptoms, you will feel like you have the flu, you will get restless legs and feel real achey all over. It depends on how much you were taking and for how long how bad the symptoms will be.
