I am always on the lookout for new fitness routines, especially those that you can do and see results without compromising your daily routine. That is why many of these diet programs like Medifast have come from. They know that you will stick to a program if it does not compromise your lifestyle. In other words, if you can do your usual and still participate in their program, they know you will give it a try.

I know what you are thinking. Dieting is no fun … Yeah well I agree with you. Unfortunately it is very necessary for those of us who are a tad overweight … Unless of course you relish the idea of sending yourself to an early grave for no better reason than “you didn’t feel like eating healthy.” Not the best reason to die over right? Look dieting may not be fun, but it does not have to be horrible either. Just do these two things and it will be a heck of a lot easier for you: 1 – Eat 5 meals per day (this will make you feel more full) and 2 – Walk for about 45 minutes each day (this will burn far more calories than you realize). What Happens When You Don’t Want to Workout During

Have you ever gone to the gym or started your workout in your home and about ten minutes in, if not sooner, you want to just leave. You don’t seem to have it today. I have had that quite a bit and everybody does. Here’s how you can help to fight that and do your best to finish off your workout with gusto.

First whenever you get that feeling, it’s usually because you didn’t prepare to go to the gym. This will sound pretty strange, but preparing before you go really helps you when you get there.

But if you are already there and you can’t seem to workout, the first thing to do is try you hardest to get pumped up and through the workouts. Nine times our of ten, if you keep going… you will find that you will get excited and you will be very happy you finished the workout.

If you just can’t then the best thing to do is to do a small circuit and leave the gym. You can always try to come back later in the day. You don’t want to ruin your workout if you are not fully with it. Just doing the right exercises to lose weight is not always enough… you have to have your mental game tough too.

Advanced Core Traing: Rope Pull Down Crunch

This is a great advanced exercise that will give you ripped abs and a strong core.

The exercise is performed using the machine that can be found in most gyms.

STEP 1:
Get a mat and set the pulley up high.

STEP 2:
Crouch down on your knees about 4 ft away from the column.

STEP 3:
Adjust the weight to what you are comfortable with.

STEP 4:
Grab the rope and do a crunch.

STEP 5:
IMPORTANT – keep your hips still and curl your torso down.

STEP 6:
Try to pull your elbows to your knees.

STEP 7:
Keep your chin tucked in to take stress off your lower back.

STEP 8:
Hold for a sec, then release

This exercise is great because it keeps your abs in tension the entire time and you get a full range of motion.

Do 8-12 reps for 3 sets. You should be about to max out on the last few reps of the last set.

This exercise also helps to improve vertical jump.

Finding Time For My Workouts

I am a trainer for a local customer service agency and my day is just a one big bulk load of work. I thought that I would eventually get the hang of it so that I could find a time to get back on my Air Climber. But as time went on, I still couldn’t find any. It has something to do with my being a “yes guy.” I do not dare say no when somebody ask me for a favor.

So I’m thinking that this has to stop. This will help me find more time for myself and of course my workouts.
