Can a massage career be lonely?

You cannot expect to have the same support form a client as you will get when talking and bonding with fellow massage therapists. Most people who graduate as a massage therapist work with only a small group of colleagues; maybe in a hospital or spa helping to lessen a patient’s pain or reduce the amount of stress they have. Most of their day however is working alone in a treatment room for privacy purposes and only get to talk to colleagues at dinner times or at the finish of a day. It is worth thinking about, the potential loneliness, before picking out your possible massage courses as massage therapy isn’t like sitting in a large office with lots of conversations going on around you.
