1. Hydrocodone is addictive. So your husband is suffering not only from pain but also from withdrawal.
2. Get a new MD for pain control and review of the case.
3. Most health care systems have a pain clinic...get in there.
4. Use ice and heat to treat the area of pain in the neck and back.
5..keep the areas mobile as much as possible...slowly strengthen the muscles in the affected area.
6. Report your MDs behavior to your state medical board. However, if i am reading your note you were dealing with a Nurse Practitioner? Then you will need to contact the state Nursing board.
7. Contact a laywer who deals in medical malpractice and ask for advice.

Treat the pain, then the situation.
References :
I'm not a doctor, but if your husband was prescribed hydrocodon, his pain must be pretty serious. i think that i may have caused an addiction that the doctors are trying to stop, or it's messing with his bodily functions, and they need to fix that. try an epidural, or something that injects a different pain med through a pump in the spine.
References :
You should get in touch with an attorney and perhaps The Medical Board! I hope that he gets well soon! Pain can get to be a hard thing to deal with! I hope the new doctor helps him. I have been dealing with a lot of pain myself and it sure can get to be hard on a person. He may just have to use something over the counter. You need to talk to his doctor that he has now! The main thing is that he gets well and has some type of help for his pain!
References :
well as bad as it sounds, when you see a new doctor, somettimes they will stop any old drugs until they get there own test results back, and when they do im sure pain pills will be available again for him.
